Aloha Transpac Participants, The Ilikai Hotel, which has long been our "Host Hotel", has been sold. As a result the ballroom is no longer utilized as a ballroom and only the Ilikai Tower is used for the hotel. The Yacht Harbor Tower was sold to another client. The Ilikai is still a sponsor for Transpac and has blocked rooms for returning racers and their families. Our "Host Hotel" is now the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We feel this is a winning change for all. As you may know, they are located just Waikiki side of the harbor for a great central location. The Coral Ballroom has been reserved for our Awards Dinner and is the largest in the state of Hawaii. No more seating problems!! The Prince Hotel has all ocean facing rooms and is the official sponsor of Roy Disney's Morning Light feature film and has always been a Channel Sea Television sponsor for the Transpac video. We have blocked rooms at these three hotels for your individual preferences. They are the Prince Hotel, the Ilikai Hotel and the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Special rates have been negotiated at each location and we feel there is something for everyone. Please identify yourselves as being with Transpac when you call so you get the special prices and we get the room credits. There are three ways to make your room reservations:
Also located here is a map of the Hilton Hawaiian Village for those not familiar with the grounds. If you have any questions about rooms or the Awards Dinner that we can answer for you, please feel free to call me at 808-536-3787 or you may email me at fishvann@hawaii.rr.com. We are here to help make your Transpac experience memorable. Aloha,
Banquet Chairman
