Entry Forms and On Line Entry System

The 2005 Transpac implemented an on line entry system to simplify this process and reduce the amount of paper work needed to enter this event. We will continue to use this for the 2007 Transpac. Unfortunately pen to paper signatures are still needed to complete this process. Therefore the system is broken into two parts.

Electronic On Line Entry System:

The links below allow an owner and/or skipper to provide the Transpac Race Committee detailed information on their yacht in an electronic format. The necessary data is similar to what was required on paper in past events. In fact those forms can be used to prepare for use of this system. See the Pre Race page for the 2003 Transpac for samples of these forms.

A minimum set of information is required or you will not be able to submit your information to the database. This includes the yacht name, sail number and owner/charter contact information. Please provide as much information on these forms that is currently available. We understand that crew details are not usually at the early stage of an entry but the race history of the owner/skipper and the yacht are used to determine eligibility as specified in the Notice of Race. The more information that is provided the faster the entry will be approved.

There will be some minor changes and an additional page to fill out in the near future. An entrant will be informed by email when these changes occur or if additional information needs to be provided. You will be supplied a login in name and password so you can return to your entry to update you information.

If you raced the 2005 Transpac and you are racing the same yacht you can easily enter the 2007 Transpac. Use the "Return Login" link below using your user ID and password from the 2005 race. Most of the information we have on-line from that event will be filled into the appropriate fields. Check this information and make the appropriate changes and submit your entry. If you have forgotten or misplaced your user ID and/or password email Walt and I will dig this information up for you.

NEW FOR THE 2007 TRANSPAC:

New this year will be the use of transponder position locating devices provided by FIS Tracking Services, AKA FlagShip Integration Services. These devices will be used to track the yachts during the race and, optionally, on the return voyage. At the end of the On-Line forms will be a link that takes the entrant to the FIS Registration Web site.

This transfer is over a HTTPS secure connection. The registration form and rental agreement will be pre-filled with information you entered for the 2007 Transpac. However, you need to provide FlagShip Integration Services with additional information.

The completion of this registration requires that you provide credit card information to act as a security deposit in case of loss or damage to the transponder system and, optionally, to rent the transponder for the return voyage and have your yacht tracked on the FIS Tracking Services Web site during the return voyage. If you do not chose this option and do not lose or damage the transponder you will not be charged for the usage during the race.

Please carefully read the FIS Tracking Services Rental Agreement and provide all the additional information to complete the entry process.

QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSPAC ON-LINE SYSTEM

If you have any question or problems with the Transpac section of the On-Line Entry System please contact Walt Niemczura or Lisa Niemczura. One of us will answer questions and fix problems.

Paper Snail Mail Entry Forms:

As mentioned above there are still two paper forms that need to be signed and mailed to the Entry Chairperson along with the appropriate entry fee. These forms are provided in PDF format for download. PPrint and sign the form and mail both of these along with a check for the entry fee to the 2007 Transpac Entry Chairperson at:

Bill Lee
Wizard Yachts Ltd.
345 Lake Ave, Suite G
Santa Cruz, CA 95062

Entry Forms and links to the On Line Entry System:

Please note:

The entrant has to do three things:

  • Enter on line
  • Complete the FIS Tracking Services Rental Agreement for the use of the transponder.
  • Send in the simple signed paper entry, the signed waiver, and a signed check to the address above.
When we have all three signed items the boat will be listed in the publically available "entries" section. If only the paper is sent, but the on-line info isn't entered, it won't go up until the on-line info is entered.
