HI! You don't know me, but I met Viictoria in Kailua while she was staying here awaiting your arrival - she is a terrific lady and a treasure to have met! My uncle, Earl Dannals, once owned the Mary Lee, who came across in the Transpacific Yacht Club Race MANY MANY years ago - to the best of my recollection, she was about 25'!! He was a yachtsman "forever" and before moving to Tahiti, had his yacht tied up right up in front of the Club (the one located "kind of" in front of the Ilikai - I am not a boat person, so is that the Waikiki Yacht Club? It isn't the one over by the Ala Moana Beach Park, across the way.) We always used to go and watch the boats cross the finish line - so Victoria's description of sitting up in the lighthouse at Diamond Head and seeing the first boat across - that spectacular boat - gave me goosebumps! Just wanted to let you know that I can only imagine the fun (and hard work) you have put in getting here - and once again, congratulations to you all! Leslie Adams, of Kailua, Oahu
